Copyright
I got into a somewhat heated discussion yesterday when I mentioned to a friend that a client had sent me pictures he lifted off someone else’s website to be included in the website I’m building for him. I was told that I was splitting hairs and looking for excuses not to do the work. Nothing could be further from the truth. I want to get this site done and done right. Stealing intellectual property is not my idea of doing it right.
I found this article titled “10 Big Myths about Copyright Explained” Check it out… it’s a good source of information for those who are copyright challenged.
I would like to especially point out Myth number 1 “If it doesn’t have a copyright notice, it’s not copyrighted.” That was the argument that was used to tell me that I’m wrong. As a former professional photographer, I’m intimately familiar with this. It’s NOT TRUE! The photograph is copyrighted the instant the photographer took the photograph.

Cell Phone popcorn is a fake
Um… well… I can’t believe I fell for this. It’s a fake. I think I first learned about cell phone popcorn from Seth Godin and it is Seth Godin who points out it’s a hoax:

Thirty Day Challenge 2008
I discovered the 30 Day Challenge last year about 1/2 way through it. I tried catching up, but just couldn’t. Even with the frustrations of not being able to get things done in time to work with the group, I learned an incredible amount about Internet Marketing.
This years challenge looks even better! I downloaded FLOCK as a result of watching the first “pre-season” video and I love it. Can’t wait!! Join me.
Testing Flock Tools
OK - I’m liking this browser a lot! I’m now checking out the blogging tools and seeing how difficult it might be to add an image.

Piece of cake!

Here’s a great article (testing FLOCK)
What if your business sold a product that, once demand kicked in, you couldn’t make any more product?
