Excellent Customer Service
These days, bad customer service and delivering less than promised seems to be the norm. I’ve almost gotten used to being treated as just an account with anybody I do business with. It’s always surprising and somewhat exhilarating when I get over the top service.
I found a posting on craigslist last week and called about getting my gutters cleaned. It was a nice sounding college kid & his buddy. Dan gave me a price over the phone and made an appointment for Friday morning (today) at 8:00 AM.
I anticipated them either not showing up or showing up late, but they arrived at my door precisely at 8:00 ready to go to work. They went straight to the work, got it done in no time and charged me the amount they quoted over the phone.
I offered to pay more once they saw the scope of the job because I thought they underbid. They stuck by their price. When I paid them, I told them they didn’t charge enough. Even with me being the cheapskate that I am, I was willing to pay double what they charged. I ended up handing them cash and paid them about 150% of their bill and thanked them for such great work.
We talked about future yard work and again, they gave me an incredibly low price and the confidence that the appointment we set for 10 days from now will be just as good an experience as I had today.
Bravo, guys! The world needs more entrepreneurs like you.
